A Kraxenofen is a traditional Alpine wellness and relaxation device that originated in the Austrian and Bavarian Alps.

The Kraxenofen consists of a special back device filled with hay that is heated. The hay often comes from high Alpine regions and contains a variety of mountain herbs that release their essential oils when heated.

HOW DOES THE KRAXENOFEN WORK?

The Kraxenofen has a backrest that you lean against. This backrest is filled with a hay sack that is slowly heated to a comfortable temperature.

The heat releases the essential oils from the herbs, which are then absorbed through the skin and the respiratory tract.

The heat promotes blood circulation, relieves tension in the back muscles and has a beneficial effect on the entire body.

APPLICATION AND EFFECT

The Kraxenofen is often used in preparation for massages or other wellness treatments. The warmth and effect of the alpine herbs soothe the muscles, promote relaxation and can also alleviate respiratory problems. The scent of warm hay is reminiscent of alpine meadows and provides a special feel-good experience!
